So I was at lunch today, and I finished eating a nice burger. I was just chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool but suddenly i felt this sudden pain. Not in my heart (thank god) but it was like, near my right pec. I don't know what the fuck it was, and I'm sure I'm over reacting, but now I'm scared I'll be dead of heart disease at age 30.
I have been working out at school for like 5 months now, and I've had almost no gains in size or strength and it's pissing me off... I admit it's not a whole-hearted effort but regardless, come the hell on I should have a BIT of muscle growth or strength increase by now, right?!
Does anyone have a legitimate workout that will actually god damn work? I swear at this rate I'm gonna end up saving money then putting an ad on craigslist for an exorbitant amount of money for someone to be my trainer.

There's your problem.
I know plenty of other people who qualify as "fit" and they still eat the same food I eat. I was looking for actual workouts, not snyde remarks thanks.
Well everyone has a different sort of metabolism. Just cos one guy can eat all sorts of crap and stay fit, doesn't mean someone else can. Try and eat more healthy and your school workouts might make more of a difference. Saying that, you also have to eat the right foods for good muscle growth. High protein etc..
Also, I don't know what weights you're using, but try using heavier than what you're using.

I eat like that too and I'm fit.
I do train Karate three times a week, that's why I'm in good shape.

growing muscles isn't just working out at school. Sports at school are dull and won't make you strong. Regular good meals are a + but regular intensive sport sessions do the job most. no pain no gain.
and the guy at karate above ; it makes you strong but you won't get much more stamina from it .
Were you also, Shooting some b-ball outside of the school? Then did a couple of guys said "we’re up in no good" Started making trouble in your neighbourhood? Did you get in one little fight? And did your mom get scared? Did she say "you’re moving with your aunte and uncle in bel-air"
Try doing 4 sets of what ever weight lifting exercise your doing and do 10-12 reps with just enough weight that your struggling by the 10-12 rep. Ive trained really skinny guys that got ripped after about 2 months working out at least 3 times a week like this.
join football...i joined and my coach works my ass off!!!!!!....just increase your weight a little each week
what my coach first did was find our max on bench prees and cleans and leg press...then he started us at 65% the first week and then like 70% the next with less reps than the first week
weightlifting will make you stronger, but it won't make you lose weight.the best way to do it is simply by running or doing some sort of cardio workout for 30-60 minutes.try to get it in 2-3 times a week and lay off the junk food and you should lose weight pretty quickly,as well as increase the rate of your metabolism.i lost around 40 pounds in 3 months doing this, and now i can basically eat whatever i want.push yourself.
Try finding a sport you really like. Also, try eating healthier. Not vegitarian, but better meat, etc. You need pretein, and meat gives you a lot of it. Alos, jog reguarly, and if you can, go on regular hiking trips, which can build your heart and increase your stamina.
Dont worry man it happens to me all the time. It usually goes away on its own. If not then i just make an incision where it hurts and pull out the vein that looks blocked up.
Exercising prior to sleep is apparently a bad idea. I used to it and noticed no real gain and was very confused. I've started to exercise a bit in the morning and mid afternoon (crazy things - as in, if you are watching a war film and someone says "get down and give me 25 - you get down yourself and do 25). I've noticed a bit of muscle increase, certainly in my arms.
As for the pain - could very well still be just a stretched muscle or the muscle became a bit tender slightly. I've had it quite regularly, including once or twice in my heart area - but apparently it's natural and could very well simply be the muscle growing (expanding) - hence the pain.
Bah didn't work out so well I hope you can read all of it a bit properly. healthy food and REGULAR EATING is good.
There this is my current schedule. I translated it from dutch some time ago, I hope it came up here allright from the wordpad file. If you can't do everything and feel burned, don't worry. You'll be able to do all of it after a few times.

About the pain.. It could be like a stretched in your pec muscle from leaning over too much on the computer etc..
I got that like two years ago when I had no life and would sit infront of my computer all day.. I don't get it anymore though.
I went to the doctor about it because the pain was right near my heart, but he told me not to worry about it, and it went away.
Yea I know it's hard, if you can't go no more when running, don't stop when your muscles hurt. stop when you get pain in your chest because you can't breathe no more. That's how I do it, walk if you want to rest. I know sometimes it feels as if someone went through your muscles with a razor blade but it helps.
