It seems to me its the noobs that cant handle the patch because they cant exploit gheyness anymore.
Go install Counterstrike - its where you belong.

Okay once again: You cannot just spawn infinite numbers of mines/claymores. After a certain amount, the old ones start disappearing. I think you can only throw down 5 mines and 2 claymores. Anybody know for sure? So if you get resupplied and throw down a 6th mine, the first one you dropped disappears.mycatsdied wrote:
Turninng the FF off on claymores and mines is absolutley awful idea. All a sniper or engi would need is a support guy to run around with him and he could constantly lay claymores and mines with no risk of hurting there teamates. My guess is that people will get damn sick of hitting a claymore everytime they turn a corner or a field of mines that the enemy can freely roll over bet they get stuck.
Servers that run No FF on mines and claymores will eventually find themselves empty. The last thing any ground pounder wants is to run into field of claymores over and over again. As if it isnt hard enough to get to the hotel on karkand.
I havent tried the new patch yet, downloading now... but let me respond to a couple comments youMrBrain wrote:
Well how about the new AT/claymore mines that doesn't kill team mates?! I thought the reason that they removed the ability to fire when jumping (now how unrealistic is that? Really?) and the dolphin diving was to add realism. But I reccon it was only because of whining assholes. I've seen posts here praising not seing dolphin divers any more when playing. You know what, I didn't see them frequently before either..!
Now how fucking realistic are the new mines when:
1. They don't kill team mates
2. They are fucking unbreakable
3. goto 2
Now the team mate thing I can in one way understand. This is so that noob spreading mines everywhere shouldn't get so many teamkills and whine the hell out of EA. But why the HELL can't you destroy the damn mines?! Now where is the realism in that? Yesterday I put claymores by our flags and got free kills later when a enemy tried to take the flag. My friend threw AT-mines on the main roads and got a kill every now and then. Now you can't fortunately put that many mines before they start to dissapear but usually someone runs over them before reaching that limit.
As it was before it was realistic and you had to THINK a little. Claymores were for sniper back protection, when you left your sniper spot you threw a grenade on the claymore to remove it and avoid team kills. Dumbasses that threw AT mines on every exit from a flag so that no vehicle could get outta there deserved the team kill (although they were punished sometimes that still doesn't add further negative score), and the person running over them deserved to die because he didn't care for the RED SKULLS.
If you saw an red skull and couldn't get pass it you could always destroy it. Same being an enemy, the mines are hard to spot from an armor, but if you saw them you could destroy them atleast. In one week we'll have 25% of the players as snipers putting claymores, 25% support, 25% engineers spamming mines and the last 25% regular players being killed of the other teams undestroyable mines
The explosive badge is no challenge anymore, imagine kirkland with claymores by the fences and ammobags lying everywhere...
I require a patch that atleast makes the mines destroyable the day before the day after tommorow
You missed my point there. I was complaining about that they removed these because they were "unrealistaic" but putting in mines, especially claymores, that don't teamkill and are undestroyable is even more unrealistic...Linus wrote:
'dolphin diving' ???? 'bunny hopping' you got to be f'in kidding me dude.. Obviously you have never
served in ANY military, nor have you ANY common sense as to what realism is..
Exactly. Again, I think it's a game and that it's plain stupid that the argument is realism for a change when the true reason is whiners.Linus wrote:
No the game cant be REAL REAL... hell, 1 hit would be enough to take out EVERYONE.. no matter what
weapon... you get hit in leg, or head, wouldnt matter, you are out of the war... youre not gonna go
running on at full speed anywhere.. so realism cant be exact in BF2...
Amen! This part I never understood either. If these are so damn good (must be because you whine over it) why don't you do it yourselves?! Same with the n00btube, if it's so damn easy why don't everybody use it then?! Personally I don't like the assault kit very much but on the other hand I don't complain about nootubers.linus wrote:
What kind of cry babies are out these playing this game that they cant hit a moving (jumping) target?
Perhaps some of you cry babies should play something else, if youre gonna whine about hitting someone
who is JUMPING... thats f;in hilarious..
Id like to meet the lamer loser who started these terms BUNNY HOPPING and DOLPHIN DIVING..
and show them how a real player plays this game..
And the lamest aspect of this whole thing is that ALL you cry babies crying abouit these 2 things
DO IT YOURSELVES ALL THE TIME..
I had 7 going at once..... this no ff idea was a big mistake for claymoresatlvolunteer wrote:

The ability to pick them up would have been sufficient.
You had 7 claymores down or mines? Did you lay them so that you can see them all? It was my understanding that they would start to disappear after you lay a certain amount. I'm going to try to test it tonight.j5f5ff wrote:

What about using a grenade to disarm an Enemy claymore that is in your path? Twice now i haven't been able to get them to blow up... claymores must be just like mines now.. and you can't get rid of them...Dr.Battlefield wrote:
I think that you are able to pick up your claymore by pressing the <g> key... Haven't tried it tho.

You can pick them up if you are an egineer. Just crouch next to one with your wrench and you can pick it up.xXMMMSXx wrote:
