Hey guys ...
Ok I'll give you the whole story ....
I bought my "Razer Diamondback Plasma" in March of 07, from ebuyer. I had some initial probs with drivers/assigning buttons to begin with but other than that it's been fine.
A few weeks ago I started having problems with my mouse disconnecting. I had changed nothing and it seemed to just start happening randomly :S The disconnects often happen at random and sometimes there will be 2/3/4 in a row
What the mouse will do is work fine and then suddenly make the USB disconnect noise, at which point i can't use it, before making the USB recognised noise a few seconds later, and working fine again.
Ok so when this started happening i thought i'd update drivers. turns out they're the same ones i had as they discontinued the diamondback. So, I emailed techsupport instead;
"Hello
I am having problems with my razer diamondback. The connection keeps dropping, the pc makes the USB noises and after about a second after disconnecting it reconnects. This is becoming problematic for scrimming etc. and has only just begun happening. It is as if i am removing the diamondback's USB connection and then plugging it back in a second after, but I am not!
I did register the s/n of the mouse when i bought it, but i cannot remember my login details unfortunately or the email i used to do so
Your help is greatly appreciated
mitch"
Their response;
"Hello,
Please test your Razer Diamondback on another PC (without installing any driver) and reply back to us with your findings so we may determine whether this issue is truly due to a faulty mouse or otherwise.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Ok, so I tested my mouse in my bro's Pc, running Media Centre as it's OS ... is was fine and there were no disconnects.
I replied again to the email;
"Helo again,
I have tried my mouse in another computer, there were no problems. I used
the mouse on my own machine without drivers and there were still
disconnecting issues. Also, upon installing some new drivers, i received a
BSOD, with the name "razerlow.sys" and this has happened before.
Many thanks,
Mitch"
As mentioned, upon me trying to install some fresh drivers I began receiving BSOD's with "Razerlow.sys" as the message....
Their final and most recent response;
"Hi there,
Please do a reinstallation of the drivers. This time a round, please remember to remove the Registry Files as mentioned below.
Use the Add/Remove Uninstall function in the Control Panel to remove the Razer Diamondback Drivers.
Then follow these instructions:
1. Are you using an antivirus program such as Norton, if so please disable it for the install.
2. Check to see if there are any folders left behind. By default they will be in C:\Program Files\Razer\Diamondback if so delete them.
3. Check for any registry keys that may have been left behind and delete them. It's normal if you are not able to find some or if not all of the below.
Go to Start\ Run\ type in "regedit" without the quotes. Locate the following keys and delete them. Please keep in mind that it is possible not all these keys are on your system.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{85C6CE1E-2A22-4C5A-A8A1-9DBFBEA81DE1}
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Karna
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse\razer
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Karna\Razer
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\Razer
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\razertra.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and look for Razer entry. Delete if present
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{D6D5CFB3-7095-4073-B6B7-B7E909838C57}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TerraTec Electronic GmbH
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\CriticalDeviceDatabase\hid#vid_1532&pid_0001
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Eventlog\System\razerusb
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Razerlow
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\razerusb
Close out the registry editor and restart the machine.
5. Check for C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{D6D5CFB3-7095-4073-B6B7-B7E909838C57} and delete
6. Shut down computer, leave off for 30 seconds and turn back on.
7. Download and install the drivers from the Razersupport.com site
Also test the mouse in another machine that has not been installed with any Razer Drivers previously."
Last night I did this exactly, removing every trace of the driver, reinstalled and it's still disconnecting
Any ideas please post as I'm in need of advice
Just as a quick breakdown then as to what is happening and what i've done :
*Mouse starts disconnecting at random after having changed nothing
**Reinstalled Drivers as well as switched USB port - no luck
**Start getting BSOD's with "Razerlow.sys"
**Tried in another PC for about 15minutes - no disconnect
**Following emailed instructions completely removed all traces of driver and reinstalled - no luck
Long post I know, thanks for taking the time to read it
Any ideas please post
