I want to try out HD on my new monitor, but how?

I have an LG206WTY (HDCP, 2ms response time, 5000:1 Contrast Ratio) connected via DVI.

Will it display HD?

This is what I see in my ATi Catalyst Control Center:

But when I select one of them I get this:

and tbh, I don't want to break my new screen. So what should I do?

Just do it, and let us know if it still works after a couple of weeks.

What's your monitor's resolution? If it's above 1280x720, you can play 720p HD content just fine. Hell you can even play 1080 content fine, it just won't fit on your screen.

I'd venture a guess of 1680 X 1050.

Yeah I guess my screenshot gave it away

Well I'm downloading 300 in HD now, (27.5 GB 5 hours to download ) I hope it's worth it.
