Hurricanes can spin off tornadoes.

Rules are great in theory, aren't they?... I'll start throwing away the hurricane survival guides we have here at the office and just direct everyone to the DAST section of BF2S.

We have some people who pillage the local supermarket, walking out with cases of batteries everytime the word hurricane is mentioned. Reality is a bitch for people who actually have to live their lives (and the lives of their families) around unpredictability. For years we had meteorologist cry wolf when we were barely getting showers. Yanking your kids out of school and spending your money relocating every time you are "possibly" in the cone of uncertainty makes people complacent and is probably just as counter productive..

Seriously, in my non-storm area of california (calm rain is NOT a storm), i'd love either!  Hell, do 'em both at the same time!  lol

I'd prefer a Tornado.  Being the socialist that I am, I'd prefer the smaller amount of total damage from the tornado rather than the widespread damage of the Hurricane.

But alass, I live in earthquake country and would prefer both to the damage of an earthquake...which is past due to happen here.  I'm just glad I'm far enough from where it'll hit that my home won't immediately explode or anything.  Power outage and widespread chaos will happen, but at least we'll be able to shelter in place..most likely.

Ever go two weeks straight without electricity? It absolutely sucks, aside from Hurricane season being in the middle of the summer (no AC), the grocery stores throw out everything that's good :(. Of course the year after ('04) we bought a generator and we haven't lost power for more than a few hours since... figures

LOL, that's how it works as soon as you get fed up with the power outages, from a hurricane, break down and buy that generator...

... this happens:
1.) No hurricanes, which is a good thing.
2.) Hurricane, but there is no good food to buy, Publix threw all the perishables out.

Toughest shit seems to be what they use in Afghanistan/Hot countries though. I've heard so many things saying how it withstands even the big calibre/autocannon fire. Mudbrick, now only if they put in proper windows and plumbing

My Dad got an letter from Nationwide insurance recently. They are dropping his homeowners insurance after 26 years. They (My parents) had one claim in over two and a half decades. About 10 years ago he had a pipe break, it caused like $1500 in damage. He has probably given them $50k + over the years. They are pulling completely out of Florida. I guess Nationwide isn't so "Nation-Wide".

Tornado. Because, quite frankly, it'd be a crime to crash a hurricane into anything.

Also, in a straight fight, the tornado would win. Fwoosh, storm of 30mm rounds. Hurricane's tiny little .303s won't do shit.
