have you seen anysort of comparison of their specs? they are virtually the same, you realy get no boost or increase in sound quality out of it.Sup wrote:

http://www.auzentech.com/site/products/x-fi_prelude.php check this. Gamer is a basic xfi card, fatality pro series is better and this (check link) is the best x-fi you can get.smartdude992 wrote:

don't remeber where i read that sorry man...i know it sounds bogus, but i really got no reason to lie about something like that, also, you don't really notice the difference above a certain level, the human ear just isn't that sensitve.Sup wrote:

well i noticed the difference between my Audigy2 zs and X-fi. Now i read a lot of reviews when i bought my card and i doubt the gamer version would have something better than the Hi-Fidelity versions. I'm not saying ur lying but maybe you have misread the article. Dsp is for movies, i have it disabled cos i only listen to music. (there is also dsp for audio but its pointless to have it on).smartdude992 wrote:

DSP's are what make the sound...they are what boost the signal and everything, also, for $120, you can't get alot of the higher end cards, x-Fi is better than hi-fi, or per creative...i'm on the gamer, and i have yet to have any issues...I got mine for 100, but i know for a fact that newegg has them for $50.Sup wrote:

i believe, and this is just from what i recall, that it also gives you better quality sound by a couple of kb/s.Sup wrote:
