On the Microsoft site, it says:

This is what my disk management screen looks like:

There is no unallocated space to right-click on...
does this mean I can't partition my hard drive this way?

Ja. There is a proggy (in Vista) to shrink that partition down but it yields little results.

I'm not using Vista, just a Vista theme.
That's why my hard drive says Windows XP MCE.

generally to partition you need to wipe, so be careful with doing anything

I use it too, there is no need to wipe all data.  With PartitionMagic all you need to do is restart (and sometimes you don't even have to).

I use it too, there is no need to wipe all data.  With PartitionMagic all you need to do is restart (and sometimes you don't even have to).
depends how you do it, i use it as a wonderful way to wipe alllllll data.  it depends on how your current partions are established

in my experience gparted always works flawlessly while partition magic tends to sometimes not work or even screw up

fair enough although gparted isn't really harder to use. You just need to dl a live CD with gparted on it. Linux live-CDs are just damn useful for all sorts of things
