...And Their Idiot Parents.
A 42-year-old Dublin man who got involved in a fight to protect his friend has been acquitted of the murder of a father-of-two by a jury at the Central Criminal Court today.
Basically some chavs had been hanging around this guy's house and had been threatening his father in law inside, he tried to chase them away and got attacked with a crutch and beaten in the head. He rounded up some brothers and his mate (the victim) and went looking for the chavs with a few baseball bats. They found the gang (thanks to the fact that not many gangs of scumbags go around with crutches) and commenced a well-deserved revenge attack. By dumb luck one of the chavs father's happened to be on his way home from the pub and came across the trouble ...he went and got a KITCHEN KNIFE and murdered the victim with it.
A COUPLE OF POINTS...
A. These little scumbags started the trouble by loitering menacingly, carrying out threatening behaviour and attacking a grown man who was simply trying to defend his property and family.
B. The victim and his colleagues went seeking revenge with BASEBALL BATS. Now I know baseball bats can do serious damage but I do not believe a person uses a bat with the intention of committing murder ...a knife on the other hand is a different story.
C. Why do I get the feeling that if it were the other way around and the adult had murdered the teenager with a knife the full weight of the law would have fallen on him!?
D. I have done the exact same thing as these guys in the past and would do it again if the situation called for it. I was beaten up by a gang of redneck idiots when I was 17 and me, my dad and big brother went and found them with a few hammers and smashed the fuck out of their car and had a huge fight. I never got a peep of trouble out of them since (and they live in the same small community). I had used the Police in previous similar incidents and they did nothing because they're fucking useless.
I feel sorry for the victim's family. They are terrorised by chav scumbags, maybe they attempted to get the Police to resolve the situation (which in my own experience is pointless) and when they resort to giving them a taste of their own medicine they see their loved one stabbed to death and then cleared of all charges. Now I'm a firm believer you have to accept what comes your way when you freely choose to enter a fight but this whole situation just seems unfair to me.
