I have attached a Wordpress Blog system to my website, and can adminstrate it without major trouble... So far so good.  I have 30ish registered users on it, set at "Author" for permissions, but none of them have worked out how to start a new post.  they can comment easily, but no option appears to post new.

PLEASE Help!  +1 for USEFUL replies.      I'll get there first, Wordpress has fail all over it, but its all I can get right now.

Awww, short of making everone an admin, I can't find out how an author can get to "Dashboard" menu...

Wordpress is not fail. It's probably one of the best CMS out there, by a mile. Don't make sweeping comments when you can't even do the simplest thing on it.

It should be in site admin. The exact URL for posting a new post is
www.YOURSITE.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

Or you go to ADMIN and then go to WRITE. It shouldn't be any harder than that.

If they cannot see that, you have to edit the user permissions for AUTHOR.
