Your logic = flawed.

I also know many honors students who smoke as well. One of my friends, Tom who just moved here from Illinois smokes, does acid...all types of stuff...and he just got accepted into the National Junior Honors Society or something like that. Myself? I smoke, and I'm currently training for my pilot's license and going to an Aeronautical college a year or so.
If your friend got into the NJHS thats for middle school, NHS (National Honor Society) is for high school, so your around 16-17-18 right? What can stress you out enough at your age to make you use that shit? I wanna here this, because chances are i probably more stressed than you are, making me a more likely candidate for drug use. And i dont give a damn if its a honor student, black, Hispanic, or intercity ghetto kid doing it, not a excuse imo.
Haha, so you're saying school/college kids can't be as stressed as adults? I think, from experiance that my school years we're the most stressful I've ever had. The constant pressure to do well and achieve, from parents and school.
Yeah, i got sick of people using the "omg schools so hard so i need to smoke" bullshit excuse by 10th grade. Ive been through a lot more than most teenagers and ive never even thought of using pot. Your life must be full of happiness if your school days bent on academic work were your worst, and for that im happy for you.

*EDIT* Im tired as hell, im going to bed, and i'll read your replies sometime tomorrow.

Another thing you're so prone to doing anyways: Karma begging.

But, this assinine conversation with "Mr. Maturity" over here is nothing but off topic. Back on track...
Karma begging? Do explain.

I like how you dismiss everything as off-topic.

Translation: You got owned.
You sir, are an idiot.

Calling every person who smokes MJ stupid is pretty retarded in itself.

I find it hillarious and saddening at the same time that any reasonably intelligent person still views marijuana as a harmful substance and yet they are more than happy to see someone drinking alcohol, coffee or smokign cigarettes.

P.S. Don't worry Poseidon, back-up is here!
Ah, don't worry. If he wants to generalize and be an elitist thinking he's right no matter what, let him. It's obvious the only one not going anywhere in life is him. I don't smoke cigarettes, I don't drink alcohol (well, once in a blue moon), but because I take a few puffs from a joint I'm "immature". Too funny, man. Too funny.

Well, frankly I don't feel the need to defend my reasons for saying that I'm stressed as it's none of your business, but for argument's sake...

Let's see:

1) My father had a heart attack in September and coded (heart stopped) twice...once when I was RIGHT BESIDE HIM.
2) My grandmother died
3) My loyal german shepherd of 8 years died
4) Everything was just going to shit for me (although it's gotten better now)

Among other things personal that I won't get into. All this in a span of 2 months. September-November.

And let me ask you a question: Do you support the use of anti-anxiety drugs? Anti-depressants? What's the difference between taking a prescription of anti-anxiety pills and smoking weed to de-stress myself? Atleast I'm doing something to combat the stress that's going on and not letting it bottling up inside. I did that once when I was younger. Let's just say, I'm glad I'm not letting my emotions bottle up again.

You really think that it's only adults who go through stress? Wow.

No, you moron. I didn't. You make yourself look like an idiot when you respond to something without reading what I wrote.

Also, anyone, regardless of wealth, academic knowledge, or anything else, is a moron if they think inhaling smoke is a good thing. See what CommieChipmunk posted.

Okay, obviously my post confused you. That first sentence was aimed at YOU, the second sentence was aimed at YOU! however, and this is whether it gets complicated, the third sentance, was in fact, a generalisation. Can you grasp that?

I am now referring to you: I think it's also hillarious that people are so wrapped up in being health concious but they don't see that humanity is going down a one way street to armageddon. Undoubtedly within our lifetimes there will be a World War 3/drastic climate change/nukes flying up your arse and yet you care so much about a complete stranger putting smoke in their lungs? Last I checked, we had medicinal marijuana.

I wrote this in another thread.  http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?pi … 7#p1855677
Watching my mom die at 13.

I pointed a gun at myself afterward, had the trigger halfway pulled back, looked down the barrel and saw the shiny tip of the .380 bullet down the barrel, but stopped, i dunno why, would have saved me a ton of agony. 9/10 of my dreams now are her dying just replaying over and over, and other terrible things.. Im antisocial, and have a shitty attitude towards life. I use this computer as my escape from this world i hate so much. I have no ambitions, no interests. Im 18 now, somehow i cant get over it. School ends in half a year and i haven't a clue what i want to do.
Dont fucking tell me that i think adults are the only one who go through stress. I went for almost 2 years straight without having a good nights sleep. Im not trying to make this into a competition of whos been through the worst, but if i can do it, seeing as im a pussy in alot of areas of life, everyone else sure as hell can too without using that pot garbage. And ive gone through all the anti depressant motions and coucilers, hasnt helped a bit.

Heh, I don't really have to justify anything, and it's hardly poorly based. The US with it's eyes set on Iran, the Iraq/Afganistan conflicts going nowhere, Putin after on the polar oil fields, the Gaza strip, tensions between Pakistan and India, Korea...the list goes on.

Get a diagnosis, perhaps?

I dealt with OCD and mild PTSD from 10-15 without using MJ once. I still have OCD now.

I get by fine without needing to smoke MJ and ruin my body.

I've actually been diagnosed, you, no. Please don't use this argument, as it fails miserably.

I find it laughable that anyone in America could honestly compare their woes to those who live in the vast majority of the world. Take a a trip outside your bubble; I'm sure you've been through some horrible shit, but self-diagnosing disorders and self-treating with marijuana is beyond pathetic.

Fuck, if you honestly need drugs to live normally, then by all means go ahead.  In the end I couldn't care less.  But my tax dollars sure as hell better not go to helping your dumb ass breathe or fight kidney/liver disease when you turn 60 because you've pumped your body full of chemicals in order to live "happily" all your life.

actually your ignorance and stubbornness is pathetic. maybe once YOU realize that there are WAY BIGGER THINGS going on outside your BUBBLE, you will realize that the hundreds of billions of dollars spent on the war against marijuana was all for nothing. think about what good could have come from all that money, not to mention the insane amount of tax dollars our government would stand to make if it was legal.

Seriously, man...I was just telling Ollie that you and Patton have bases to your arguments, but screw you. Just because I live on Long Island doesn't mean SHIT. I have a shitty ass father who even after his heart attack acts like a complete douchebag and acts like a child and doesn't even bother calling me after a fight and only spends money on himself...my mom is horribly low on funds and my dad doesn't give a shit, and I'm going to have to work to pay for my own college.

I'm sorry that I'm not as worse off than other people in the world. Oh, excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me. I have to be living in India working in sweatshops just to consider my life as "bad"? You have NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON in not only my life, but ANYBODY'S life here. Don't fucking downplay it just because I live on Long Island.  Who the HELL are you to judge who's life is bad and who's is not?

You people are SO FUCKING NAIVE it's not even funny. Just because your life's all grand and dandy doesn't mean others are. And YES, I WAS diagnosed with depression, anxiety disorder and OCD. And I've been diagnosed with depression TWICE. The anxiety disorder and OCD have come on in the past year or so. And who says I'm treating it with marijuana? I'm using marijuana as a short term relaxation so I'm not constantly anxious while I slowly help piece together my life.

You guys are fucking ridiculous.
