Why do you people want to stop me from putting what I want into my body? If you don't like it fine, shut the fuck up and let me live my life. You have my permission to shoot me when I rob your house to fund my drug addictions, until then stfu + gtfo.
Can I just ask, WHAT was the reason for posting a link to norml's homepage?? Was there something on there that was suppose to catch our eye?krAzi wrote:

Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
Well said. Also depression is based on peoples ability to cope with it. One person may be depressed in a situation where another person might just be a bit unhappy.Poseidon wrote:
Seriously, man...I was just telling Ollie that you and Patton have bases to your arguments, but screw you. Just because I live on Long Island doesn't mean SHIT. I have a shitty ass father who even after his heart attack acts like a complete douchebag and acts like a child and doesn't even bother calling me after a fight and only spends money on himself...my mom is horribly low on funds and my dad doesn't give a shit, and I'm going to have to work to pay for my own college.ig wrote:

Believe me, you do not have post-traumatic stress disorder, you probably don't have depression, or clinical depression, a panic disorder or OCD... Fuck you and your "stressful life", believe me, there are many people much worse off than you.
You live in America.... You live in Long Island... Chance are you're more well off than the majority of America and you're far better off than the majority of the world. Don't even start to bitch about your stressful life...
I'm sorry that I'm not as worse off than other people in the world. Oh, excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me. I have to be living in India working in sweatshops just to consider my life as "bad"? You have NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON in not only my life, but ANYBODY'S life here. Don't fucking downplay it just because I live on Long Island. Who the HELL are you to judge who's life is bad and who's is not?
You people are SO FUCKING NAIVE it's not even funny. Just because your life's all grand and dandy doesn't mean others are. And YES, I WAS diagnosed with depression, anxiety disorder and OCD. And I've been diagnosed with depression TWICE. The anxiety disorder and OCD have come on in the past year or so. And who says I'm treating it with marijuana? I'm using marijuana as a short term relaxation so I'm not constantly anxious while I slowly help piece together my life.
You guys are fucking ridiculous.
The kind of arguement you guys are employing is typical of anti-drug people, ignorant of the facts yet still resolute in their beliefs.
i am pretty hungry.SEREMAKER wrote:

Haha, if only. I'm going through a bit of a dry peroid at the mo. None of the dank stuff coming my way.SEREMAKER wrote:

I don't approve of your illegal activities ig.

Fair enough bro, my parents are divorced, my dad ditched me while he went on a hunt for his next wife, who's kind of a bitch, he's okay now that he has what he wants. I've worked since my freshman year to pay for the shit I have, my grandpa died last year--smoking--my other grandpa is all sorts of fucked up now, and my third grandpa (divorce grandparents) is dying of emphysema and a jacked liver (smoking + alcohol). And eh, I'm sure as hell going to have to pay for my college to.. that's kind of what you do? All but three of my friends have turned into clones who do nothing but smoke hookah, drink and snowboard. I'm taking three colleges courses (still in high school), I work for 2 hours after school every day and for 6 hours on Saturdays. I volunteer for four hours on Sundays.
My life isn't terribly awesome at the moment either. I don't smoke, I don't drink, you don't need substances to get through life...

A lot of them yes they are.
Ignorant of the facts? Quite the contrary my friend.Ollie wrote:

You're so hung up on the notion that we need these substances. We don't. It can help, but I'm pretty sure most of us smoke because it's a good laugh/feels good, not because out bodies as telling us we will die without it (as with tobacco).CommieChipmunk wrote:

Fair enough, maybe that's just how I am... but believe me there's no question that long term, the benefits no where near outweigh the detriments. Short-term gratification is always something that you should look into carefullyOllie wrote:

Yeah, but a lot of them not. Just look at the list - Carl Sagan, Harrison Ford, Paris Hilton, Jack Nicholson, Friedrich Nietzsche, John Lennon, Bob Dylan...all brilliant, successful people who smoke...and look at their careers and accomplishments.usmarine wrote:

That's exactly it though - I'm not like the typical high school douchebag who just smokes for fun. I smoke to relax while still focusing on schoolwork. I don't smoke all the time...like I said, once a week at most. I have my life planned out - Going to Embry-Riddle, doing Air Force ROTC, joining the AF, flying jets and then flying commercial airliners...do you know of any non-smokers who have their lives planned out that far ahead? Probably not. That's exactly why I'm saying to say that all pot smokers are stupid and going nowhere etc is one of the most ridiculous things you could ever say in your entire life.CommieChipmunk wrote:

Smoke all you want just dont bother me.
Of course, I've said in many of these threads. Moderation and responsibility.CommieChipmunk wrote:

It's the stupid, ignorant and uniformed that give drugs a bad name. However, you look at it.
I still don't agree with your benefits/drawback arguement though.
A perfectly acceptable state of mind. I wish every anti-drug person could be the same.David.P wrote:

I'm a non-smoker. I've widdled my colleges down to Tulane, UofO Honors, Willamette or Occidental (assuming I get into the last one). Then I'll hopefully attend medical school at either Tulane or OHSU here in Oregon. Then hopefully end up somewhere in a field of pathology (at the moment cytopathology looks interesting but I'm sure I'll change my mind)..Poseidon wrote:

expand my mind by smoking weed? Just because I don't smoke weed doesn't mean that I live under a box...ig wrote:
