Are you suggesting that diesels don't have power?  If you are, then I'd like to talk to you about why the sky is red.

I think Dick Cheney would personally shoot each and every owner of this car in the face with 00 Buckshot if it was produced and sold here.  You do NOT mess with the auto or oil industry in this country as long as Dick is around!!

Every once in awhile I produce my own naturally compressed air. I guess I'll need to work on my timing to be completely emission free.

I live next to Palo Verde nuclear PP. Though I'm not sure what percentage of my electricity comes from that plant.

Are you saying that oil consumption would equal what it is now?

Yeah, wind turbines producing power would be too ironic, wouldn't it?  Air, powering something to run on air.....  Holy Codpieces, batman!

hate to break it but im a diesel mechanic, i said diesel prinicpal, i.e. expanding gases/high pressure, no spark plugs. I dont believe the air tank would big enough to produce massive amounts of power, so the nozzles for the air are probably really small, restricting air flow onto a wide surface, like hydraulics almost.... The reason they heat it is to make it seem like there is more air in the tank.

actually the more i think about it, its probably not like a diesel at all.

Duh!  Don't need stupid AIR to power a car, just use MR. Fusion!!  Been around since 1985!
https://journeyhomeburke.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/mr-fusion.jpg

But seriously, wouldn't it be cool to harness your own gas to fuel your car?  Just stick a tube up your butt at night so that in the morning, when  you wake up and let the blanket fill with your morning gas emissions...you channel it into a jar to put in your car!  Word.

Unless someone went away and built about a couple of hundred, possibly a couple of thousand, nuclear power stations then yes. There may be a slight benefit from the economy of scale of having the power produced in bulk at a power station though. It would depend on the efficiency of the vehicle too. And one cannot say from what fuel source their power comes from - it all goes out onto the one interconnected grid spanning perhaps an entire continent.

Wow, Cam, I would've thought since everyone thinks so highly of you that you could actually be bothered to read - especially just down to the 8th post:-

I'd rather have this car, and its a hell of a lot greener than the "air car"

0-60 in 5 secs? ehh i'd have to see that to believe it

I guess that means the air I breathe will have octanes and premiums.  I'll still be at the pump paying 4 dollars a pound of air.  Greener Earth, but still empty wallet.

As for apperance, it looks better than those 3 tire motor wheelbarrows they have in Italy.  I'd look for a screenshot, but I'm lazy.

Probably antimatter, which I've heard is environmentally friendly
Until it comes into contact with matter and reacts very violently as in worse than nuke violently.

You could solar power a compressor at home, or run it from a medium sized turbine if you're in a windy area.

The other alternative is Nuclear energy, which TBH seems to be the only way that seems feasible in the time scale the enviomental scaremongers are setting.

Solar and wind energy are variable and unreliable though, especially wind energy. Neither form of energy can be economically stored as yet either.

Indeed true but they are getting much better with time, I still say nuclear is the only way forward though.

Mr. Fusion powers the time circuits and the flux capacitor; the internal combustion engine runs on ordinary gasoline, it always has.
