This is one of those threads that make me question my participation in this site.

It's part of my midlife crisis.

Because physical education in elementary/middle schools spends too much time using a "workout" method, and teaching minimal concepts then actually telling kids what they need to know to not bathe away in a vat of their own carbohydrate reserves.

As soon as they stop running a mile twice a week they gain 60 pounds and we suddenly have an "obesity epidemic."

It's simple. Caloric Intake = Caloric Output. Worried the donut is going to increase your waist line by .023 inches? Go for a jog.
