I'm starting up a reviews/blog site wtih a friend of mine (well, bought the domain 3 months ago - the name zero-productivity seems to have cursed our project).
We want to start up something similar to gamespot, but with reviews for movies, tv shows, etc as well - and have a satirical blog.

My question is this:
What would be better for the coding of what I mentioned above: Wordpress, Drupal or Jumla?

Jumla is retarded. The only thing it has managed to get me is information about Jumla.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Drupal. It's the only one I've used out of the three, and I'm using that to assume it must be the best. It is good though.

Interesting concept, and I also would recommend Drupal.

I've been intending to expand my Deviant Art style satirical pieces and reviews / essays into my own private domain also... I wish you the best of luck .

Wrong. Drupal is GOOD, but it's not easy to EDIT.

If you want something that is incredibly template flexible, then you grab Wordpress, it also comes with all the plugins ( search for them on the WP site ) for a reviewing site ( I have already researched all that for your site ). Drupal is far more advanced than Wordpress. If I were in your shoes and you were still learning to basics of XHTML/CSS, then you must get Wordpress. You will run into far less template/installation problems than in Drupal.

Konfusion, you coulda emailed me.

Sorry, but I had no time for your project.

Joomla? It fails. Enough said.

my buddy has used drupal to build this site:

he has no web coding experience, so you can see it's pretty easy to use.

When it comes to features and complexity: Drupal > Joomla > Wordpress
When it comes to simplicity and easy use: Wordpress > Joomla > Drupal

So it really depends on what you want.
Fewer features, but easier set-up and maintenance: Wordpress.
Complex and lots of possibilities: Drupal.
And if you want a nice balance of features and convenience: Joomla.

I chose Joomla for a site I created for a some friends a couple years ago. Wordpress offered too few options and features, since I also wanted to include a forum and a picture gallery. And Drupal... well, to be honest, I had never even heard of it back then.
Joomla also has a really large user-base and community. You can find lots of modules and extensions and get all kinds of help fairly fast.

Joomla is awful. It's got a very bad templating system, its not intuitive ( like, creating a basic page, you have to go through extra pages just to do that, instead of just CREATE PAGE, which both Drupal and Wordpress ).

I avoid Joomla at all costs, so do most web developers. It's ugly to code with and its heavy. There is no point in it being a suggestion. It's complete crap. It can't be compared to the fully featured drupal, or the quick and easy WP. Anybody who uses Joomla hasn't got the faintest clue about how a real site works.

Hey hey, easy there.
Think what you want about Joomla, I'm not even gonna defend it. To me it was just the easiest choice and the templating system wasn't an issue for me since I never planned on creating one myself. I also never wanted to code around with it much.

Hate Joomla if you want, but don't get all pushy and attack me because of it.
Cool off.

Zimmer, no worries. I've been mucking around in Dreamweaver, and I'm now sick on my skiing holiday, so I'm bored as fuck. My uncle actually suggested Wordpress to me (he's in webdesign), but I wanted a second opinion, as he hasn't used any others before.
I take it you need to install this on a server before you can start customizing?

I never attacked you. Not at one single point in my post. I was just trying to reinforce the point about how much Joomla sucks.

Yeah, Maef, maybe if you just install a template its easy, but I know Konfusion wants to create his own. So Joomla is awful for that.

Konfusion : You need a server and you need 1 MYSQL database with a username and a password with all privileges to such database.

Alrighty, just bought new webhosting service... 1and1.co.uk is awesome, it really is.
Only problem is that they now, for some reason, need my bank details as verification... I guess the coding will still have to wait until I get back home.
