Currently, my 250 gb WD Caviar is made up of 4 separate partitions. I have one main one, which has 135 gb of space, another one for Media which is 50 gb, one for music which is 15 gb, and another which is for alternate storage and is 26 gb.

Now, on the main partition - I'm reading 12 gb of space left, but there's a total of 800 something mb worth of files in there. Why is this?

It's really frustrating thing to not only see, but think about. I don't want 120 gigs of space being taken up by...nothing. Here's a screenie:
