Looking for an LCD monitor...

...with the best color representation, and one that can display black color very well. Preferably looking for a 22", although anything else will do fine. Don't care about reponse times, just one with crt-like color representation.

Must be under $350

Well, there you go. Samsung 226bw. I have it (as do others) and it's AMAZING. When you get it, you'll realize how gigantic it actually is. It's incredible.

Also, do you think I could play bf2 and cs:s maxed out at 1680 x 1050 with my 8800GT? How about crysis dx9?

Definitely (to both). I have an 8800 GTX and I play them both on max. The 8800 GT is just a little below the 8800 GTX, so you'll definitely be able to play them on all high. And as for Crysis DX9, yes as well.

My friend runs CS:S Maxed out 4x AA at about 120fps, with his 8600gts, so yes.
However I'm curious about Crysis too, as I'm probably getting this monitor and an 8800gt.

How is the color though, on the samsung? I'm an avid photographer and photoshopper, which is why I've kept my viewsonic CRT for so long. My dell LCDs were horrid.

the colour is flawless, looks really nice, and it has a 300:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, pretty high for a 22" LCD.
Everything looks very sharp on it.

For top colour reproduction get an Eizo. Once you've looked at their prices and decided you're not going to get an Eizo, try looking for quality IPS based panels. If they have a response time of less than 5ms then they are almost certainly TN panels with poorer colour reproduction.
