I'm getting a new LCD monitor next month (haven't decided which one to get yet) and I would like to know what games actually support wide-screen resolutions. I don't want to have everything stretched. I will probably go for a 22 inch LCD since I think a 24" would be too big at such little distance (I'm about 40cm away from the monitor). Atm a have a 20"Samsung 203B. Is there anything else I should know about wide-screen?

COD4 and all Source games support it. Even all the little obscure games (like GTR2) support it. The new NFS, DiRT, etc. (just going by what I've played recently). Hell I think even AudioSurf does.

What about these games: FEAR, CoH, Newerwinter nights 2, Test Drive Unlimited, GTA series. Anybody knows?

CoH supports widescreen.

Only games I have that's post 2003 that doesn't support widescreen are BF2 and BF2142....
