In the last couple days all you see people in game saying is "OMG AA is too good now i cant plane whore"

For six months the worst part of this game was constantly getting bombed by enemy planes AND friendly planes. NO MORE! Thank you "O great programmer in the sky"

Before I felt like Chicken Little "The sky is falling, The sky is falling" in a game called DODGEBOMBS!

Now it feels like a War Sim, the way it was meant to be.

Its kinda funny now, when u need a quick and garenteed kill LOOK TO THE SKIES

Besides, if you ARE good at flying, you arent even bothered by the patch. You already KNOW that you spray Stinger sites when there is a good chance someone is there. The ones that are bitching sucked before and suck even more thanks to 1.2

I have flown for 2 hours since the patch and have only been shot down by fighters.

I get the impression I'm the only person who still can't hit shit with the stingers. I get a lock, wait until the pilot is moving smoothly away from the AA site, make sure there're no flares in the sky, and fire. And hit nothing. Every time. I can't even seem to hit choppers that are moving away slowly.

What am I missing? The AA lock still seems the same to me.

I fired off a missile. Whatever it was coz I never even saw it launched flares... waited a couple of seconds..... brief blip and then a second or two later I got a kill!!!

I was like WTF!

For choppers aim high so that you wont lock onto the flares. It USUALLY takes more than two hits to take one down, but you may get luck and bag one with two. As for jets, its still hard, but ALOT easier. Aim behind the jet and let loose, flares or no. If you wait for flares to dissipate, youll miss. Aim high and behind so you dont see these flares either.

The new AA tears into plane, leaving them with little armor. If there was a delay after the AA hit the plane, its because once the health gets low enough it will decline on its own. They usually blow up a few seconds after getting hit with a shot.

Thats so damn true, those that are good at their damn routine bombing have no problem at all avoiding AA. Yesterday I was being bombed just as much as before the patch and I had enough and went and sat in a stiger, in 5min not one of the planes came near enough for the stinger to lock on. I also fired at will but nothing.
Praise the maps without the fucking air planes...
