Philosophy has a very wide range of things and doesn't always keep itself to life and death etc, that's pretty corny actually. Infact, philosophy is pretty important when you're going to talk about political learnings and education because you get to talk ALOT about how people should be able to coexist togheter etc.

It can't be that important if it's not teached here. It's probably optional, which is the right thing. It leaves the teacher with too much control over what to teach. Their opinion could be a heavy influence to a young kid.

Well yeah, it's optional but oftenly advised when you wish to get into politics etc. Ofcourse the teacher has his own preferences, but you get to read alot about theories and expectations of billions of people with different views on life. This expands your personal knowledge over the wellbeing of your fellow countrymen and so forth.

Philosophy is not a subject which should be teached to young children, but usually to 15/16+ imo. People that have developed a mild interest in politics and the world around them, enough so to form a little base opinion in order to not get influenced easily by what those around you think. Even more so, it's best to talk and read about what alot of individuals think so you get a better view of stuff.

I agree with option 5. As well as Dayarath's views on education.

See for us, Tetrino we live in a multi racial and multi religious society and though we have hiccups on such issues earlier decades and some now ocassionally, we have bonded the muslims and the non-muslims together together primarily through education and a little governmental ' swaying'

Where else can we see civil and sharia laws working hand in hand though some of the others may beg to differ.
Where else can we see all races and religions living harmoniously and graciously

Though it is a long term effort, the other Muslim nations will get there, Insyallah. Just a matter of time.

The Pentagon has nothing to do with either of those things...why are you trying to make a connection that doesn't exist? It always has been--and will continue to be--a State Dept role.
