But they are. It's not like they're giving the resources away to the US for free, it's not like they're not getting paid. Having the US as one of your primary markets is a good thing. Last thing you want is not being able to do business with them.Sup wrote:
They should be mining for their country's economy not for US economy. You get the point?Mek-Izzle wrote:
Hmm, it's a job isn't it. Unless it ends up like Africa, it isn't that bad. They're creating jobs. I don't think they're forcing them to work in the mines..Sup wrote:
Let me refraze it: the people of Kosovo work in mines for the USA.
Not your country. Read my words. I said that area..Sup wrote:

They wont be able to do any business with them since there won't be nothing left for them to trade with.Mek-Izzle wrote:

So basically - no country should do any work to export materials for any other country, even though the workers are bringing in profit.
Aha! I get it now.
Thanks for the flame karma as well, much obliged! It's pretty obvious you can't debate without insulting someone.

didnt slovenia do the exact same thing kosovo just did in the early 90's?
No offense to you but your views on world economics are misguided, and your hatred towards the U.S. leadership is unfounded. Perhaps you should study the situation yourself and form your own opinion instead of piggy-backing off of your friends ill informed propaganda.
Countries of former Yugoslavia had a written agreement that countries who do not wish to be in the united Yugoslavia can go on their own, Milosevic was on power and we didn't wanted to be under him. Slovenia was a very developed country then and the rest of the countries in Yugoslavia weren't. We worked and Belgrade took the money. We had our own country but since we were together for a long time we stayed together as Yugoslavia.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

We were never owned by Serbs and Kosovo was always owned by Serbs. We were volunteerely merged into 1 country.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

Listen carefully:
SLOVENIANS HAVE ALWAYS LIVED THERE WHILE KOSOVARS CAME THERE AFTER WW2. YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE-3000 YEARS AGAINST 60 KOSOVIAN?
Well, as my substitute for history once said:.Sup wrote:
US has no right to intervene outside its borders. Period. Its UN's job.usmarine wrote:
Also...maybe if you people in that part of the world would have decided NOT to ethnically cleanse muslims, the US and other countries would not be there?
Just a thought.

p.s. your caps lock key is broken.
The caps was intentional. What exactly should i look at here? That the Albanians came in Serbia before WW2? Albanians also came to USA before WW2 but never in such numbers as they did after WW2 when they came into Serbia.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

So .Sup you believe that the US is plain evil. It needs to stay within it's own borders and not trade with other countries? Because unfortunately the United States is tied into the international market in a key position. Sorry thats part of life and life ain't fair or pretty.
But think of it this way, the people mine for minerals, export a good to large percentage of the minerals to the US and other European nations for profit and keep some for themselves. This is generally considered a good business practice, exporting your surplus for profit so that you don't sit on top of stockpiles that while they are worth money, the more you have stockpiled the less the individual unit is worth. So instead of sitting on top of depreciating stock or not employing as many workers the country has decided to employ as many as it can to boost its economy as well as have a strong (not as strong as it was, but still strong) currency pumped into its market.
Tell me what is the downside of this please.

You can trade with other countries juts stay the fuck out of them. How about i go in your country, and you would work for me. You would mine your minerals for me. You country needs minerals but i'm more powerful so we will export your minerals into my country.Ridir wrote:

What would you guys do with the minerals if we didn't help you mine them? And who would you trade them to?.Sup wrote:

ehhh what do you expect.

We can mine them ourselves. If we would need to trade them, there's a lot of European countries that need it. Or we can just store it for the times when there's no more minerals on the planet (like you do with Iraqi oil).Major.League.Infidel wrote:
