If you choose the "english only" option in the sound menu, the british sas voices don't get used. They get given the usmc voices, the same as everyone else.

I wish they could make it so this isn't the case. I like the funny voices but I don't get to use them because I'd have to change the option every time I was SAS.

I have english only for the last 2 days of play and tonight Im gonna change it back.......I would have liked it if they used "broken english" in that team's dialect.  That would have been cool, but maybe too much to ask for.

Why? Because I always got a kick out of talking to my son's hockey coach who was a product of Communist Russia.  His english (as a second language) was very funny with his Russian accent trying to explain his hockey terminology to the kids and parents.

Cos I can't speak whatever language the MEC use. I can't speak chinese and I can't speak russian. I usually play on whatever side the server puts me on, so I'm at a serious disadvantage if I can't understand any of the radio chatter.

In bf1942 over time I learnt to recongnise all the common commands sounded like in japansese and german, but this time round the soundbites are far too complicated to recognise most of them.  For example the "spotted" commands in 1942 used to just say "enemy XXXXXX spotted" but now they're all something different.  "Enemy on the road"  "enemy slick inbound" "hostile sniper spotted."

It would be nice to be able to easily add your own voices to the game. Maybe someone will come up with alternatives?

P.S.

I think the commander should have few other calls!

"Protect the flag you peice of dog meat!!!!!"

"Drop the snipper rifle and get into the game"

"Get the $$$$ out of the way pleab, ARTILLERY!!!!!

the text says all you need, I personally like the foreign voices whether or not I understand them. It adds realism cause I don't want my MEC speaking like a yankee grunt.

Unless you have short term memory loss, it's easy to remember over time what each voice bite means in relation to thier command or spotted term. Just play as that army and read the text whenever you hear a voice. When you don't see text but hear a voice, it's relating to the commander assets. It's just common sense.
