well i got to hand it to dice that the new patch is good in many ways like now the grenade launcher is more unaccurate shooting while jumping is unable. But WTF are they thinking when they remove the c4 trick so tanks get stronger and stronger. thats just playing dumb. why could they not make tanks weaker cause no way a tank should survive even one pack of c4 but else thumps up. maybe they will realize this unbalanced thing and send a very little patch out soon. But i should not get my hopes up.

If you wanna bring down a tank go AT and start shooting it and HIT THE TOP OF THE TANK. We in the tanks had enough problem evading TOW missiles, AT missiles, Heli missiles, TV missile, plain bombs and at last plain missile. So I'm glad the took away C4 jumping.

well if you find the kd ratio of a tanker then its about 1 to 10 for many and in the tanknoobs paradise level SAK there is not any flying vehicles so i think those guys are having it to easy.  jets and helis are weaker after the patch so why should tanks not be it.

The treads are actually a softer target that the turret.

I thought the money shot was just below the turret on top of the main body.  I remember looking at the hit spots on some website.  The diagram showed that the shot would bounce into the turret causing increased damage.  Possibly even a 1 shot tank kill (a la Achilles heel)  2nd best shot went to the treads and it took 2 and change from another tank to destroy the opposing tank.

I played with C4 in the military.  I couldn't throw it and have it stick to anything.  It came in a funny green plastic wrapper.  It was hard like clay from art class.  We did not take the green wrapper off.  We'd just jab our detonatior into the block of C4 or poke a hole with a knife.  Also, I had to be pretty far away when it blew.  The Spec Ops guys in BF2 must be uber special to be able to get it to stick AND be pretty close to the blast radius and not suffer blast damage or shrapnel damage.

If I'm not mistaken, this only works for Tank shells (i.e. Tank vs Tank battles).  Someone correct me if I am mistaken

Bubba-Bubberson - Yeah, the hit guide reference for the 1shot kill is Tank vs Tank. I believe that the best AT shot is on the underside.  Of course the tank has to be breaching a hill with the bottom exposed to do this.

one C4 pack should have the abillity to blow the tracks of a tank, this will give the engineers the job of fixing them
