L96A1 or MG36?

Right, i'm back with ANOTHER unlock dilemma. Please give me advice on the choice above, and vote. I play sniper and support about equally, so that doesnt really factor in.

A couple of questions, as well:

1. Is the MG36 so much better than the RPK in the new patch?

2. Is the L96 worth getting for a casual sniper (IE, i dont play it all the time, maybe 10% of the time)?

Also:

-I already have all the other weapons I want, so dont suggest em to me.

-I'll probably never reach 20k so this is my last unlock (maybe the P90 was a bad idea), so i want it to be a good one.

I'm just the oposite.
I just finished my Medic requirements, I dig both Sniper and Support.
I went with the MG36 and think it is better than the PKM.

My next unlock will be the L96 because I'm having a BALL with the MG36.
You play support so you know your not a front line fighter. With the MG36's ROF you can really keep their heads down so your team can advance.

I dig mine.

The MG 36 is a good unlock, although I still alternate between that and the PKM when playing support. I have just unlocked the L96 though and it is absolutely brillant, unlock it and you will start playing sniper alot more...

psh....well it depends if your all hardcore sniper and really think your in the bushes and stuff then well go with the sniper but that will get old then you will want the mg36.....then that will get old then you will want something else....then ea will get a new patch.......then another add-on......then more complaining that it doesent work crashed videos and what not....and then sooner or later youl get so fed up youll quit......so basically they are both fine

Its too late, I was just reading something and hit "select unlock" instead of "choose later". Now I have the bloody Jackhammer. I HATE THAT GUN.

Any chance you get more unlocks with Euro Force?

nope u dont. before the release they gave u 2 extra unlocks. if u used them then u have to wait till ur next rank

Ah well, at least I have access to every weapon now. I can use the L96 in EF.

The L96 is about the same as the M24. The real benefit to getting it would be so you could have an accurate sniper rifle while playing as MEC or China. Not that it matters to you now.

don't be so hard on the jackhammer. it's a pretty nice weapon once you get used to it. unless of corse you're one of those that mostly plays karkand...then you'll be disappointed.

Hmm, i've not played as support yet with 1.2.. I do have both the PKM and MG36 unlocked. Before the patch i'd say the MG36 was the more accurate with a higher rof but less punch. I've heard the accuracy of the PKM has been beefed up.

I hear good things about the L96A1, but the thing is... I LOVE shooting helicopter pilots (with the M95) and passengers whilst they're flying.. nothing quite as satisfying as watching them drop out like dead flies.

The disadvantage with the L96A1 is I won't be able to shoot out the pilots anymore.. That said, I haven't unlocked it yet.. needing to rank up for that.

It depends really, do you typically play at range (prefer to fire in single shot) or upclose and personal within nade chucking range.

I tend to switch between the two, I do enjoy the stealth aspect of hunting down other snipers and killing them at the very end of the draw distance with the sniper rifle.

That said, I also enjoy getting in the mix and planting C4 on enemy tanks.

It all comes down to what you usually play as, do you snipe or do you pound the ground?
