Haha yeah, I suspected something like that.IRONCHEF wrote:
Guys, you probably aren't hearing the low tones very well because when you play them, on your PC speakers, the driver can't render those tones so it distorts..so you're hearing that instead of the actual tone probably and thinking you can hear like a dog! Just a thought.

Strange, I've got fucking tinnitus!

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Hmm...though I was supposed to have lost the higher frequencies by now, but I guess not.

Of course it probably has to do with having various very serious ear infections, involving three sets of tubes in my ears before I was three.

50-18,000 and i have better hearing than anybody I know.
I was in a physics class today and the teacher said that the highest you should hear when in college or around early 20's is 20,000Hz. If you say you can hear higher then your imagining it or its your computer + i hear up to 19,000Hz
I did hear all of em via my headphone.
