I just got a new Lachesis, I am working on getting it configured well for bf2. I currently have dpi's set for 250-500-750-1500-4000, I was wondering what everyone else was using, because it's just not quite right. Thanks all!!!
I'm using the lowest dpi on my ( 800 ) I think.
and in bf2 my sensitivity is set to 20.

i have my dpi at 450 and my bf2 at .7
it really depends on what i'm doing as to what my dpi is set to, and my in game is standard

DPI changes the resolution of the mouse. In short, a lower DPI makes the mouse track less accurately. The reason your mouse pointer moves slower on low DPI is because the laser isn't "reading" as much and as such it isn't as precise.smartdude992 wrote:

Not sure what they mean by hardware switched. Lower DPI is lower DPI... the mouse tracks less of the surface either way. The best way to get the setting you like is to keep your DPI at max, and then lower your sensitivity in-game until you find a happy spot.smartdude992 wrote:

i just kept my mouse at the default and tweaked my ingame mouse sensitivity
400 DPi / 0.5 / Windows Default 6 / CPL mousefix on
I have mine set to 125, 375, 625, 1000, 2000. I hardly ever play BF2 anymore, so I never use anything above 625. 625 is sensitive enough for quick CQB response, but slow enough for medium range shots. 375 for medium-long range and sniping, 125 for extremely long range or precise shots.
For BF2, I would say just make sure you have 4000 at the top for when you're tanking and flying, and 125-500 for long range, but you'll have to figure out what suits you best for in the middle.

I run mine with two settings mostly, 800Dpi for infantry, 1500 for tanks, only because it tracks better and i get more turret movment with less mouse movement. Other then that Isee no advantage, this whole Dpi thing is a scam to sell fancy mice.

800 DPI is way to slow for normal useage. Your best off using 1200 if you can as it is fast but not to fast.
