I lost my BF2 disk so i couldent reinstall after my computer crashed, im going to pick up a new copy today, but Can i install the patch without having the game installed so it will be done when im ready?

If you buy the collector edition (or whatever it is called) it comes with patch 1.41
But as Snake said, you can't patch something which is not yet installed.
