Affirmative. Also 1080i.
Yeah me  too an HDMI Rogers box, but not with a screen of that size. How much did it cost?
the whole thing, incl. screen, projector, sound system and cables, along with the dvd player and cable box was about $3500 (no comp)

Ok. so i've got the PC at one end of the 35 foot long room, connected via the 54 foot HDMI and a digital audio cable, both through the ceiling. I use a USB extension to run to the couch in front of the screen. The motor for the screen was included with the screen, total cost $350 on a deal.

Dude... 1080i and you run it at what, 1024x640? The taskbar looks about as big as the one on my 15" monitor from 1999...
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I'm sure for gaming it's at 1080i, since it's hard to read text in that res.

actually...i have to admit I have no way of knowing what res. It's run at the same resolution as my monitor during the transition, 1024*768, but obviously it's not the same res afterwards. And i'm too lazy to bother figuring it out.

1024x768 on a monitor capable of 1920x1080 is just... I'm out of words.

No no no, i say it's just at the transition...it's huge at that point. Then it goes back to a more user-friendly size. I think it's closer to 2000*1280, though, but just a guess.
