I have some book shelf speakers that I know are better quality than my current computer speakers.  Does anyone know of a way to hook them up.  I thought I would ask before I start to disassemble my computer speakers.

Computer speakers are older version of logitech Z4  http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speak … p;cl=us,en

If your shelf speakers have the correct hook up, this will work

This is the only site that has pictures of the back, but it is the regular twist connection (whatever you call it)

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

you're going to have to buy an amp then. Sadly the amp in the logitech sets only work with those speakers

well I do not have an extra amp laying around.  I thought that I might be able to splice the line.  Thanks for the help.

Buy an old Cambridge Soundworks sub, or something similar, strip the plugs off the bookshelf speakers (assuming they're not bare wire anyway), plug everything in, job done, that's what I'm using at the mo with some 150w Aiwa hi-fi speakers, bare in mind your PC will go from being normal to having volume settings between 'ARGH' and 'Ruptured ear drums', hi-fi speakers don't do quiet on PCs, mine don't anyway lol, but thats a good thing.
