The reason yuor card runs BF2 and is not in the manual is because the listed ones are the ones they make sure work when they re-patch etc.
It is just lucky that yours works, from their point of view, they didn't build BF2 around your card.

I just wonder if you have optimised your BF2 setup, i know people who have better pc's than mine but had not bothered to optimise their game and got lower performance.
There comes a time when you need to upgrade, or if you don't want to, then don't complain. I played BF2 for 2 whole years on a 9800 Pro with everything on low and getting like 20-30 fps. But I was fine with it. My friends would whine and complain when they played on my PC, but I didn't care.
