Hello all,

First off, I'm not completely sure I want to OC my CPU but I was wondering, based on these specs if it would be worth it.

C2D E6850
ASUS P5NE-SLI
Foxconn 8800GTX OC'ed
4GB A-DATA DDR2 800
WD Caviar 250GB

What do you think?

Is my mobo good enough to pull 4ghz? (assuming my cooling is sufficient)

Nvidia chipsets aren't the greatest for overclocking, but it can be done.

I recommend just testing slowly, increase the FSB in increments.

My E6600 clocked to 3.4ghz is 40°C idle and up to 60°C under load, I don't recommend getting the heat much above 60 under stress.

Are there any good OC'ing guides on the web that I can use? I've never done this before and I'd rather not mess up my computer, Vista does that enough for me.

Best bet is the above advice.  Just go into your bios, save your current stable setting into one of the profiles.  Then be sure to unlink your memory from your cpu (if you have not done so already).  Then like above increase the FSB in increments.
Be sure to watch your temps.
