sorry if this post was already posted, I searched and didnt find any topics on it.  Just wondering at what level do you consider someone to be a good player with regards to score per minute (which I think is one of the two most important scores in the game next to kill/death).  Mine is 1.87 and steadily rising, some people in my clan have like 2.5 and stuff.  I know blazin.uk has something ridiculous like 3.9 or something like that.  So what level is considered to be good?  1.5?  2.0?

btw, regarding blazin.uk, I dont know how the hell he averages that type of score.  I have done that type of play for stretches, for example on karkland as MEC, I will spawn as engy, plant my land mines, then when I start running low on ammo I steal a medic kit and within about 10 minutes into the match I will have like 40 or so points from land mine kills, kills, heals and revives.  Then usually when I die and find out that we lost some rear flags, I cant keep that scoring up because our defenses were breached.  I have done this like 4 or 5 times, and ended up with like 80-90 points but my spm for the round will be maybe in the low to mid 2 range.  How does he keep up that type of scoring the whole round every round?  its just crazy!!!!

Having above 3.5 means you either play urban maps mostly or on non-urban maps you jet whore a lot.  2-2.5 would be the average SPM I'm guessing.

Actually try 1.0-1.75 is about average SPM. I say if you are above that you are doing pretty good point getting. But the funny thing about these stats, they don't necessarily show good solid game play, just talent in getting points.

Ea based the game around a SPM of just over 1.

Before 1.03, the ranks were nicely created; Lance Corp would come after 10 hours, Corporal after 100 hours, and Sergeant at 250 hours.

I finally hit a spm of 2 I noticed after I lowered all my video settings, even though my computer can handle low/medium settings, I put everyting on low or off my scores have jumped big time and my spm has gone up from 1.8 to 2.0 in about a month of play or so.

Yup, I would agree with 1-1.75  I think I am 1.5 and I consider myself a good player.. who plays way to much :-)

As long as you are above 1 it really doesnt matter, as far as I am concerned if you get too much higher it is a good indication that you are often focusing on points vs teamwork. Sure there are instances where you can get a good SPM and be doing alot for the team effort, but I can't imagine someone who is gung ho for thier own points following a commanders order to defend a base for 10 mins which could mean the difference between winning and losing.

For me, I think KD ratio is a much better indicator of how good of a player you are.

I guess i should be pleased with my SPM (2,44), considdering im never whoring for vehicles, and dont really care much about what map i play. I'll admit, i have played wake way too much, but thats only because i found a nice server to play on, that was wake only. And no, im no jet whore i suck at flying... (just look at my lousy jet stats: bf2 nick: G.I.Fluff (i lack imagination)). I like playing as infantery the most, and i just run around shooting everyone i see I guess thats why i play assault the most, and dont have too many revive and heal points as medic at least i dont think i have too good heal and revive scores compared to how much i have played medic, since im usually too busy running around shooting everyone i see to have time to hand out band-aids. Makes me wonder why i play medic at all.. maybe its just to heal myself and keep on running around shooting everyone i see... I dont understand how anyone could say that snipers have a hard time getting a high SPM though. I find sniper to be an exellent class to get lots of kills with, if you just know how. I think maybe i play sniper a bit too agressivly though, running around shooting everyone i see (this seems to be my prefered tactic). Maybe thats where all the pistol kills come from =O And for those who think im a lamer after all when they see how many times i have been kicked, thinking it must surely be from TK'ing for hardware, let me assure you, its not, though i have to admit, some are from too much TKing, but how can anyone blame ME for my hand grenades and their magnetic effect on teammembers? The rest is for too high ping.. how i loathe sharing net with a bunch of morons.

I consider a spm of at least 2.5 to be "good", but if you play only urban maps/use only jets and choppers, then your spm should be atleast 3 or your noobish

I'd consiuder you a n00b due to the fact that you got your account reset for shady purposes... there had to be some evidence of you breaking rules, i was cheering for you to get in the top 10 but now i have lost all respect.

I consider anything above 3.0 to be pretty good (I'm not quite there yet). If your spm is a solid plateau then you arent improving- most peoples should have some kind of positive overall slope.
