Because they had enough natural resources and dont run out of anything.
Because they could move their factories back into siberia where enemy bombers couldnt  reach them. So it could produce without any problems.
Because they had enough workers. Stalin sent millions from its own nation into work camps coz they were against communism.
Because they had major halp from USA as they invaded Iran to have a free way to send supplies, tanks, ammonation. See russian Sherman tank.

It seems folks are confusing the question.
Why didn't Russia go broke AFTER WW2?

I think it is because they had spent the previous ten years creating a massive new manufacturing industry. At that point the collective farms were producing well. or well enough.

i would think about all of the countries under the Russian yoke who were bankrupted, and continue to be extremely poor today. Think of the Balkans, and the "prefix-stans."

But did the fact they had no companies to pay like the British mean anything?
Actually, they were a bigger purchaser of lendlease equipment than the UK.
Britain purchased 31 billion, Russia 11.3 billion.

Although I think it was more received than purchased, since Russia didn't ever reimburse the US.

Good point. I meant they received the most lendlease equipment...silly me, I thought they actually paid for it.
