Can't wait, would be great if they made it outside during a war now, seeing as you escaped in the original Portal.

They will though, so that people who have never bought any will be tempted. HL2 and the first 2 episodes will be cheap as chips by the time the "red box" comes out anyway (HL2 already is).

I want more of exactly the same gameplay in portal, and I want more of Glados too. If they try to change it up it will lose its magic and become just another game out there. As long as they continue the storyline and maybe add one or two new features, I'll be happy.

Or they should just fuse Portal with Half Life Ep 3, giving Gordon a portal gun halfway through the game (and making the storylines work together.)
That would be sweet, and you could even demonstrate the Black Mesa-Aperture rivalry nicely when he mercilessly slaughters Chell to get the gun.

It's already mentioned that the story lines of Portal and the continuation of the HL2 universe will merge at some point. So I'm pretty sure a Portal successor is on the way, and Valve would be stupid if they didn't go this way
