Right, so to make a long story short: I reinstalled XP on my comp, but it won't recognize that I've plugged in a network cable. I had it working before, never could remeber how.
I have an ASUS M2N32-SLi Deluxe Wireless ed., with the network cable plugged into it--right now running on the wireless. and it sux. So any help in rectifying my issue would get karma.
Thanks much!

no. It's just that Windows won't even recognize that the cable is plugged in.

Have you tried multiple times or just once ?

Tried with another cable ?

Reset the modem ?

If you've performed Format C:\ on your PC, you may also have lost the motherboards network drivers.

Check Device Manager to make sure you have a LAN network card.

Then you are missing the LAN drivers. Try and find them on your mobo's website.
