I have:

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ and Zalman 7000B-Cu
Asus EAX800XT PE w/ Zalman VF-700Cu
5.6GB IDE HDD
Half dead DVD-RW
Cables. LOTS of cables.
15" OLD CRT. works.
10/100 network card
mouse + keyboard

question is: Should I get the following to make a some kind of rig.

2x512mb DDR ram. The cheapest out there. Probably used. price ~20€
used PSU ~45-55€

no case. but maybe I can make my own power switch.

Dude, don't get used RAM. Seriously. If you can't afford new value RAM, don't bother. Same goes for a case.

My bad, didn't read your post/sig right. idk, I think I'd be better to sell that one, pocket the money, possibly future upgrades?

ye forgot to put the mobo on the list as well. ^^

I have few options to go. I could use a secondary rig BUT there are few other choises now.

SAMSUNG SpinPoint T Series HD501LJ 500GB  65€ sounds like a good deal to me....
MSI P965 Neo-F 21€ (ATM)
Asus A8V-VM 13€ (ATM) + the ram + a PSU

Ok here are few things I might need/want to buy now. But I'm lost about whatt I'm gonna buy.

1. SAMSUNG SpinPoint T Series HD501LJ 500GB  65€  + sell old 200GB seagate for ~25-40€

2. Asus A8V-VM 13€ (ATM) + the ram + a PSU ~ <90€

3. Lite-On LH-20A1S-15C dvd-rw 23.90€
A-DATA 4GB USB 2.0 Memory Agenie/My Flash 16.40€
ArcticClean Kit 60ml 9.40€
ZM-STG1 Thermal Grease 5.40€
= 55.10€

4. MSI P965 Neo-F 21€ (ATM) and sell it for higher price (profit!)

lol. Throwing that MSI mobo on freezers backyard would be like throwing a bone to a dog.

but back to the topic. Everyone agree that the 500GB samsung is the way to go now? I might use that for my future build too.

Spinpionts are known for their absolute silencve and I know if your using Vista, their is a tool that can make youre HDD go 10k instead of 7200 rpm.

Wouldn't that be bad for the life endurance of your HD?
