While everyone looks at Ea with hatred, I might be the one person who would see the good side.  By selling to a multiplatform producer, might see the game actually launch on more then one system at launch,r athering then waiting several years to the point that no one cares anymore.  Not all of EAs acquired companiessuck anyways, you guys put way too much shit on EA.

Look at Maxis, their games have been pretty great, regardless of wether your a fan of the games.  Societies wasnt too good, but Sim City 4, and the Sims have a massive following andmod community.  Spore also looks to be damn amazing.

Call me crazy for seeing a good side, I just don't want to wait for the inevitable GTA4 port(ever other GTA ported).

agreed. despite all its issues even BF2 was great. no other game has (and as some have pointed out, shouldn't) taken 1000 hours of my life

First off-

GTAIV is releasing on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 on the same day.

Second off -

GTAIV will come to PC in November. That's not that bad.

It's not that I have a problem with EA, but I have a problem with them taking over a company that's already good and does everything perfectly. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I beg to differ. More consolidation, less competition = bad news for consumers. EA's support for most games sucks anyways.

Was not aware it was porting to 360 as well, as I dont follow the GTa series at all, just what ive learned from talking to people mostly, error on my part.  Regardless of that issue, EA is still a good company, everyone wants to look down at them for their less then great releases recently, but think about it, without acquiring new titles or franchises, your gonna be stuck with the same stuff.  Then again, most people had an issue with BF2, no matter what it was(from patching issues to crashes) and instantly hate an entire company.

If EAs was smart they'd let them carry on much like Maxis does.  As I said previously, Maxis still pumps out fantastic games.  They are also putting out the only game im even really intrested in for the next year or so.

BINGO.

I loved ESPN's football games. They were awesome. I still remember being able to buy shit for your house or whatever, and then you could buy announcer outtakes. I cracked up at those.
