Oh hai,
I'm having a problem currently. After loading a map, I have no framedrop but after 3 minutes it starts lagging every ~5 seconds. After that 10 minutes it goes back to normal, and it works great. I've been having this problem since I installed it on Vista. Usualy, on XP, I was able to play directly. Also on previous Vista instalations, it was working fine.
So, how can I solve this? When I change my BF2's exe to BF21.exe, I get an error with 'please update your Direct X so you have above version 9' But my Direct X version is just fine. Also, I have tried it without virusscanner, but I still get it. Spyware is also gone.
Reinstalling didn't work, so what should I do? Should I make BF2 a high performance task? Also, I don't have any intro movies or something and my memory doesn't reach its limit when BF2 is running.
My pc: AMD X2 4400+ with 2GB and an Ati X1900. With a load of 160GB sata harddisks.
