i couldnt find a topic about it so im gonna ask here, does anybody know how to fix the punkbstrA.exe failure kick?
I've just had this crap with CoD4, its worked fine since I've had it and today its kept on telling me that.
Still haven't figured out how to stop it, updated Punkbuster manually and still nothing.

Right click on your bf2 shortcut - properties - run bf2 as administrator, should work

I check my zonealarm everyday I play to be sure it didn't update itself. When PB updates itself, my Zonealarm resets and I have to give them permissions again.
Try updating pb first.
Then go to Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services and check that PnkBstrA is "Started" and it's startup type is set to "Automatic".

im not on vista, dont use a firewall and updating pb is what caused it to happen, but it doesnt matter i was gonna reformat my pc anyway
ouch....nuking your pc over BF2? Why don't you just uninstall BF2 and reinstall?
well that wont work and i know it wont, my pc is full of shit anyway so id rather reformat
If you're behind a router, bypass the it. If you can't do that, Port forward for BF2.exe and maybe even PnkbstrA.exe.
