Actually, I also recall the German's have a pretty good attitude about it. I was in the US Army in Germany in the late '90s. We were conducting a "Manuver Rights Excercise" near the french border. Reportedly, one of our units got lost and took a wrong turn. They (the entire armored colum) was pulled over by a single Polizei (and now is that a statement for the power of the German Police?) and warned the unit that they were less than a kilometer from the French border and that (in the words of the Politzei) "The French tend to take a dim view of armored vehicles rolling into their country from this direction."B.Schuss wrote:

I think France is great. Cool country with plenty of interesting history. But unless Sarkozy can reach an agreement
with the unions he wont be able to fix the economy and probably wont be re-elected. Which I think would be a bad
