Just saw this at the bottom of the forum:
https://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w251/Ninja_Kid2002/imgad.gif

Looks like a child typed it in paint.

[Edit] Ironically, the advertising seems to have worked on me! But I'm not going to advertise with a company that thinks "Red text + Blue text = pretty"

[Edit 2] Okay, so I could be arsed to photobucket it after all.

Yeah it's terrible, and so ineffective that you totally noticed, it gave it your full attention, copied it and posted it in it's separate thread gaining it tons more views.

noobs @ advertising tbh

Rather than post a pic of it, he's linked us directly to the ad, so naturally everyone with a half decent adblocker won't be able to see it. *sigh*

I'd have hosted it, only CBA tbh, serious CBA.

Spoiler (highlight to read):
CBA = Can't Be Arsed

It's not blinking and there's no sounds when you hover over it. Could be much worse.

Yea, but that would suggest some effort had actually gone into producing it. I spent more time designing my sig!

I can't see it. No way to turn off my Opera content filter without altering the file, lol.

funny things about ads...they dont need to be flashy to be effective. they just need to trigger an emotion within the consumer. although, the flash and spice helps.

i work in advertising.

The emotion that one triggered was 'What a bunch of amatures'. Although that's not really an emotion. Perhaps pity, would that be in your target emotions?

That depends on your target audience.
If this banner was aimed at the kind of person who gives crack heads money out of pity when they ask, then maybe it works.

"I'll advertise with them, because they're clearly so poor, they can't even afford 3 colours! That's the kind of company I want handling my marketting."

no, what i was going for was...they couldve went for something plain and simple to create buzz...this thread is a prime example. Ultimately, they got what they were looking for.  Buzz has been created and im sure some of you have clicked the link just to see what the rest of the site is like or since the add is so horrible what else could be behind it.
