You can't go to jail for smoking weed.  It's stupid.  And you can't go either for using cocaine, coz people addicted to cocaine are sick.  They need help, not jail.
It's possession that lands people in jail. You can be high.. you just can't own or distribute it. Weird when you think about it.
Only because there's no real proof if you're just high, if you're possessing it, well that's the proof.

Hence why you always get people raiding the police evidence room in Comedies involving police stations

Haha, it's like the Jedi mind trick getting your retarded little mind all confused, angry, and violent!  It's so easy to get you in "kill mode!"   You probably spit on your screen you were typing so angrily! lol Puss.

And yes, you suck at contribution.  Read your last two contributions towards me fag.
Actually no.  I was laughing at the TV while typing wash out.

That's because your thread fails from the start.  There is no way we can be #1 if other countries do not even release stats like we do.

You can go to jail for smoking weed.  It's not stupid.  Follow the law.  or move to some place where it is legal.
So you agree with the rules even when they are plain dumb.
I did not say it was dumb.

Wow, you figured that all out on your own?  You actually know those reports are wrong?  Nevermind actually contributing to the topic because hey, #1 or not, there's still 1% of our country in jail.  But no, smart debate like that doesn't occur to you, eh muppet?

How can you be high without having the cocaine?  Of course there's possession.  Cmon.
I'm just telling you the way it is. Anyone remember those cable boxes that decoded signals? Those were the opposite. You could own them and even sell them.. you just couldn't use them...lol

I don't understand this policy of sending someone who is ill to jail.  F.i. Robert Downey was sent to jail several times for being addicted to cocaine, and the guy was raped in jail.  Is that a fair treatment?  No sir.  How many people are there in that condition in jail?
Who said anything about someone being ill?

It's simple.  Don't want to go jail?  Don't break the law.

If you want to smoke pot, etc... then you had better be prepared to deal with the consequences, no matter what your feelings about the law are.  It goes with any crime.  If I wanted to rob a bank, I had better be able to deal with the consequences.

Bad example.  You would go to club fed.  Prison for rich white folks.  You know, the ones with golf courses.

Whats contributing?  Cut and paste articles?  That is not contributing, that is just cut and paste.

The stats for the US may be correct, but there is no way to compare it to the rest of the world.

Not the same thing buddy.  Robbing a bank is a crime, using cocaine is an illness.  People addicted to cocaine need help.  People robbing banks need jail.

Federal laws and other protections may limit your losses if you fall victim to a bank fraud or theft. A swindler runs up a big bill on your credit card or steals hundreds of dollars from your bank account. Do you suffer the loss? In many cases of bank crimes, your liability is limited by law or industry practices to the first $50 of loss, but that depends on the type of account and how quickly you report the problem.
.. and if it's not the government it is usually the bank that covers you. You have to report it quickly and they will investigate it of course. If they don't you are dealing with a really shitty bank tbh. I have seen identity theft/fraud a couple of times personally.
I thought electronic theft would have been covered under this: "Furthermore, the FDIC does not insure against loss of funds due to robberies and other thefts."  I guess not.

That is for CEO's.  Hackers are usually not rich old white dudes.  So, that is not a bad example at all.  You are trying to spin it around.

It's all a choice, serge.  You have to break the law to get addicted to crack or whatever in the first place.  They might need help, but maybe they should have not bought illegal drugs.

What is the problem with you and pot?  People can do it.  I don't but I don't care if others do as long as they stay away.  It's marijuana not crack.
They keep complaining about its illegality... It's illegal and it's not going to change, they should just accept that. I don't care what they do, but I'm not voting for it to become legal.

They need them coz they are sick.  It doesn't matter the first time.  Once they are addicted you can't throw these people into jail, they get worse there.

The problem is some drugs will encourage and empower people to do other criminal behavior. If this is the case they are a threat to society and should be removed.

Drugs are bad.. MmmKay.

You can compare it to alot of the world, it's certainly true that complete disasters of countries are not included in this because simply nobody knows, probably nobody in the country knows. What you can say for certain is that the US prison population is way higher than any other stable country.

Welcome to the conversation. We're not talking about traffic violations or jay walking, we're talking about serious criminal offenses that warrant prison time.

Agreed.  They are bad, but you must help these people, they are sick.  You can't punish them for being addicted.

You're putting the cart before the horse.

Follow legal channels for medications if you need them.  Otherwise, buying the illegal drugs the first time is breaking the law.  They might need help, but they still broke the law to get addicted.
