The internet part isnt exactly in my knowledge band, but even I know, that packet loss and constant disconnects arent the halmarks of something good.

Over the past few days, my connection has become extremly temprimental, I am being disconnected, taking AGES to download files and online games are just a no no.  Now, my download seems to have fixed it's self, its back up to speed, how ever, when I look at, for instance, team speak, my ping is at 51, when it would normally never go above 30, and my packetloss is at 75% (was at 87% earlier).  I know that isnt good especially when everyone else is at a steady 20ms and a packet loss of 0%.

I did receive an email from my ISP about them upgrading my connection, well over a month ago, yet didnt get any problems, if the issue I am experiencing is due to that, then fair enough, but I would of assumed, if they contacted me nearly 6 weeks ago about that, I would of had the effects much sooner than just this tuesday.

Appart from that possible answer, does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?  I have a wireless router, but the machine am on, that is the hub if you like is wired staright to it.  I doubt someone has hacked my key, but, would that explain packet loss and disconects :\

Thanks for any help

Bell, are you currently in Glasgow?

If so, then it's due to the Earthquake down in England. It knocked out quite a few ISP servers ( especially BT based, but there are more ).

Give it about 2 weeks to restore. You know how engineering support is for this bullshit.
