Today, March 1st is St Davids Day over yur in sheepland.

I don't speak Wels but my girl is learning how to.

Im extremely proud to be Welsh and wish all fellow Taff's a Happy St Davids day.

The sad thing is if this was St George day it would be in the press, on the BBC but as always we get left out.  I know Scots and Irish also feel this way at times.

I'm not one of those nationalists who jump up and down over this, I have ignored it for years but it's true.

Please don't wate your time trying to get me to bite as mentioned I am proud, prouder to take offence by something written about us.

I would feed Anne Robinson to the lions though for what she said a few years ago, the cheeky bitch.

The Welsh was brought up into conversation and she replied "Whats the point of them"? Or words to that effect.

I reckon have just opened myself up to shit loads of abuse now.

You're suggesting that St David's day isn't celebrated because you're "only Welsh"? is that it?
Because I can't remember the last time I lifted a pint to St George, but I've got thoroughly twatted over St Patrick on several occasions despite not having a drop of green blood in me.

I don't think it's the BBC's fault that it's not on TV. It's not on TV because no one cares. When's the last time you saw St Martin's day on the TV? (11th November)

Besides, it is on their website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/3522515.stm

No Ninja I mean it dosen't get the same amount of coverage as England does in the media I do appriciate though we arn't as big as England and it is the main nation of the four.

I do have the Radio on now and the BBC have mentioned it when they were talking about a football match going on today.

I havent searched but what is St Martins day?

It was the first St's day i came across in Wikipedia when searching for a St's day to make my point! lol

As far as coverage goes, I live in Hull, and even when we were flooded-the-shit-out-of TV barely cared. It was only when the rain got so bad they had to postpone Wimbledon that the toffs down at Broadcasting House actually started giving a shit.

My advice. Hold a posh-persons event annually, and the BBC will start caring.
