What a minute... You like the third better than the second? That's just wrong. The first two are amazing. The scene with the horse's head is a classic.

The first movie is easily the best, though i dont understand why people can possibly argue that the 2nd is as good as teh first. Its good, but just not up to the standard set by the first one. Following Vito Corleone was the highlight of the movie for me, otherwise the whole deal with Michael Corleone just didnt appeal nearly as much as in the first film.
the third one blew
I am the biggest fan of the godfather movies. My grandparens immigrated to canada from italy and they love the godfather movies and sopranos. They say its almost close to how it really was back in the day.
Now go watch Scar Face.

I just remembered that I once saw a televised interview of the guy that wrote the Godfather novels, Mario Puzo. He said that eventhough he spent time with real mobsters he was more afraid and intimidated by Michael Eisner of Disney than any of them.
You like the third over the second, what a strange world we live in...
The only time I saw the 2nd one it didn't have subtitles, so it made very little sense. Hence, I currently prefer the 3rd one also.
But the 1st one is the best.
The scene where Michael Corleone kills the 2 guys in the restaurant is just classic. You can see everything he's thinking just by watching his eyes. Great acting.

2nd one is the best!
