Yes, Ubuntu is better in many ways, but not userfriendly enough for most users - plus, they miss their familiar programs.

Pretty much. It's something you play with, but not really something you can work with. For work, you need to have tools that are easy to use, and familiar. Most people don't want to retrain for a shiny new operating system that can do lots of cool tricks - they prefer sticking to what they know. If linux coders starts adopting windows themes more exactly, and simplifying their OS, I'm sure they could attract tons of people.Gawwad wrote:

Ubuntu is indeed a toy, but not everything Linux is like that. There are infact many properly usable distros, and if you *really* want, you can still have those effects on there.
