this is retarded... Right now I'm on my phone, on the bus typing you through ATT's data network (edge) even though I dont pay 45$ for it

I found I had edge after I reset my network settings in an attempt to fix my texting (since yesterday I can't text)

So now i can't text but I can get on the Internet

How the hell does that work? Anyone have this problem?

Im going to call AT&T when I get home

No, I got an ATT account over 2 years ago and my phone had an internet browser on it. I didn't pay for a data plan, so it was something like $0.01/KB. But, they put a shortcut button to the browser by my keypad, and I kept hitting it by accident, get charged for this and that here and there. I'm sure it was there for my 'convenience' since I couldn't change the key designation. I had to password protect the internet function so I would stop pressing it all the time.

Their policy is still 'charge as much as possible as often as possible'. Keep an eye on your bill.

I don't think its AT&T thats retarded.....

You'll be paying by the KB, you just get the ability to go on the internet through your phone, you don't have it on your call plan.

My moms phone had that internet thing, and kept getting charged $15 a month for it. We finally went to the dealer for a new phone, and they removed the plan, and the internet thing. Now when you press the button, its says "service unavailible".

You can remove the data plan, go to a dealer or whatever, but they will remove access to it, if you dont want it. I personally used it once to read news articles whilst waiting in a lobby.

I switched to UNLIMITED TEXTING, for 30 USD, and that disabled my Edge, they didnt tell me that shit would happen...

and guess what? Unlimted Data is FUCKING 45 DOLLARS!!! Before I got 1500 texts AND unlimited data for 30! 15 dollars less for the same thing plus texting!!!

So I basically told them to shoove it, to forget my edge network...

75$ for JUST Unlimited texting/Unlimited data?? I think not.

if I talk to 5 people a day thats only 5 texts per person a day, that just doesnt happen, I did around 1700 last month, so I figure at like .05$ or whatever Im better off not getting 300 or more overage charges...

Apparently I did have DATA, and by upgrading my texting I didnt fuck the Data, the guy I talked to last time didnt know WTF he was talking about

Anyway, I talked to this awesome (very humorous, easy going guy) and he explained everything, fixed everything in about 2 minutes and answered all my questions - - - It was an EXTREMELY different experience in the tech support area... I asked if there was an extension I could get him at, he said a lot of people as for that and lol'd...

anywho, its fixed and im a happy camper cause I can do BF2s at school again
