If you delete the recycle bin, does it go to the landfill?

No, just right click on the Desktop. Arrange Icons by, uncheck Show Desktop Icons.
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
TweakUI directly gets rid of the Recycle Bin icon, it doesn't just remove all icons. Attacks the root of the problem.haffeysucks wrote:

Meh, all I had on the Desktop was Recycle Bin, so I didn't notice. Anyway, mine's completely clear.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

And make sure to then "empty the recycle bin" or it just comes back. ;-)GodFather wrote:

You donĀ“t need any programm, just go into the registry and delete the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
(You can make a backup of it anywhere on your comp if you like)
Refresh you desktop, it should be gone. If not, reboot.

I don't know how you do it, but I changed it's icon to a transparent one, and used some nifty regtweak (I think, almost a year ago) to change its name to <SPACE>.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
