I thought everyone already knew this?
Now we canhasTM proof.
I drink diet for the sake of my teeth, and you can also get slim from drinking diet soda and exercising so I'm not sure what your point is.Varegg wrote:
Never been a fan of soft drinks in the first place and least of all the diet kind - what makes people think they get slim by drinking diet soda ? ... when in fact you get slim from not drinking soda at all and a tad of exercise ...
I wasn't going to read the story as I felt it was too long, then I saw 16 year old sister and the rest is history.
lol not really, but someone was bound to say something like that. This time it shall be me

Most fat people drink diet soda because they think a weightloss is included because it doesn't contain sugar - and if you brush your teeth twice pr day it doesn't matter if you drink diet or regular, it's not only sugar that corrodes your teeth you know ...I'm Jamesey wrote:

Sorry I didn't realise you did a comprehensive survey of overweight diet juice drinkers.Varegg wrote:

Diet obviously doesn't have a positive effect on teeth, but it does make a difference compared to regular drinks.

The more natural foods and drinks you consume the healthier it is in the long run, start reading the labels of what you eat and drink and look up the ingredients, you will be amazed at what they add for flavour and profit ...

That'd put me off eating my 10p packet of crisps and cheap-o TV dinners though.
Anyways, I don't think it's caffine that's bad, I think it's people irresponsible enough to go overboard on it that's the problem.
Glad to see your sister's alright, OP.

Sorry to hear of your ordeal.
But seriously, 2 energy drinks and 3 high caffeine-content coffees in a short period? How could she not forsee some harm being done with such an over-abuse of a chemical/drug on an empty stomach? Caffeine is a huge stimulant for the body. I do remember reading a story on BBC News a few months back about a young girl overdosing on double-shot coffee in a coffee-bar, she became quite seriously ill from it.
Like everything, consume in moderation!
