I heard a rumor from a post on THIS website that the next installment of the battlfefield series will take place 146 years in the future. I dont know if it will be fought with plasma cannons, lasers, pulse rifles and hover-tanks. But it futuristic combat should be pretty interesting. I wonder if they will have HK'S (Hunter Killers)

Right, i got the year wrong. Sorry.
I saw a story on bluesnews.com yesterday I think. Check there, I think there was some equations that equaled 2142 or something as a hint by someone.
Funny, I was just thinking what a futuristic BF would be like, pretty darn awesome.
Quake Wars. A total futuristic battlefield-like game. Bet It's going to be better..
A Battlefield in the future would certainly cut down on the people bitching about realism...
