I left my computer on overnight, and I guess it restarted because of automatic updates or something.  Then, when I woke up, my secondary hard drive which has all my stuff on it just wasnt there.  I restarted again, same thing, does anyone know what I can do?

edit: and it is not in the "Hard Disk Management" screen

Check the device manager for the 2nd harddisk.

Check BIOS settings, and if cables are still connected.
You never know...

Haha, that's why I turn automatic updates off.

See if it shows up in the BIOS.

"Those willing to trade security for convenience deserve neither."

I know Franklin didn't exactly say that, but it sounds good. Make sure you run backups.

Try to view your drive on another PC.

never happened to me

Im seriously geting annoyed at people, where when someone has something go wrong on their OS and theyre using vista the thread gets whored with shit like

I have a solution! get xp
help, or GTFO. People who post that kind of shit probably dont have Vista or barely used it/ gave it a chance.

I have Vista, I love it, I would never switch back to XP, I have never had the above issue and have used vista +6 months.

/end rant

Glad you got that shit fixed

edit: this isnt towards the OP.

Amen.

People seem to forget that XP isn't perfect either.  On my new machine for example i have yet to have any problems related to vista, no crashes or any problem with programs i use.  I started with an XP dual boot because of the bad things I have heard and just yesterday deleted my xp install.  And to further my point XP crashed on me on this system and i barely ever used it.

I like the XP I used to have better than Vista, perhaps because Vista + BF2 + rotation of Earth = playability deletion of 1 of 2 PC games I find enjoyable, or Vista + Firefox + half the links I click = fail, or Vista + PDF = more painful than usual.

But hell, I don't like Vista; I must be a biased ignorant asshole. Obviously it goes without saying that my evidence is less valid than everyone else's. What do I know.

no one said anything against liking xp or called you a bias ignorant asshole.  the statement was about every time someone has a problem with vista people say stuff like "I have a solution get XP"

Well I had a problem with my gfx card (7900gt/gto) in vista that rendered the screen unreadable, and there is no fix out for it, even though the OS has been out for a longgggg time now, so my solution was to move back to XP, and i just like it that much better
